Coteau ;- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Friday, July 3, 2009 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau for Sandra "Sandy" Comeaux Garza, 57, who died Saturday, June 27, 2009 in Lafayette. ; Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. ; Rev. Ed Degeyter will be the Celebrant. ; Born on February 18, 1952 in New Iberia, Sandy was a resident of Lafayette and was retired from the State of Louisiana. Survivors include her mother, Lillian LeBlanc Comeaux of Coteau; sisters, Lucy Comeaux Kim of Katy, TX; Kathy Comeaux Viator of Coteau; nephews, Chad Viator, Shannon Viator and wife Theresa, Michael Kim, and Chris Kim. ; She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Comeaux. ; Pallbearers include her nephews, David Garza, and Destin Delahoussaye. ; A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Thursday.
