Saundra "Sandy" Ann Eastin

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11 am, on Friday, November 8, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in St. Martinville, for Saundra Ann Eastin, 75, who passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5 pm until 9 p.m. on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 7 am until 10:45 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville. A rosary will be prayed at 7 pm on Thursday. Fr. Allen Breaux will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Sandy was a great athlete. She played basketball in high school. She liked to play tennis, was an award-winning bowler, an avid golfer, winning several tournaments. In 2002 her great joy was wining the Medalist at the L.W.G.A. Senior Golf Tourney at Tamahka Trails in Alexandria, Louisiana. Sandy loved to play cards and enjoyed her visits to the casino. Survivors include her special friend of 45 years, Manala LaLonde of Lafayette; her sister-in-law, Marian Conery Eastin; five nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Eastin Gremillion and husband, C. Bruce Gremillion, Jr., of Abbeville, Marie Eastin Murnane and husband, James Murnane, of Blaire, Nebraska, Teddy J. Eastin and wife, Bobbie P. Eastin, of Broussard, Rock A. Eastin and wife, Sherry B. Eastin, of St. Martinville, and Shelby E. Eastin and wife, Jeorgina R. Eastin, of Houston, Texas; eleven great nieces and nephews; eight great-great nieces and nephews; and one great-great-great niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wade J. Eastin and Rowena Landry Guidry; her beloved step-father, Judge Edmond Louis Guidry, Sr.; one brother, Shelby Edward Eastin; one nephew, Edward Emmet Eastin; one great nephew, Michael Joseph Gremillion; and a great great nephew William James Eastin.
