Sgt. Adrien Paul Lormand

Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 4, 2023 at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church for Sgt. Adrien Paul Lormand, 41, who passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023, in California. 

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Arnaudville on Monday from 9:00 am until 1:30 pm.

A rosary will be prayed at 11:30 am on Monday morning. 

Father Travis Abadie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Katrina Bernard and Juanita Richard. Gift bearers will be Sophie Lormand and Carter Lormand.

Inurnment will follow at a later date at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. 

Sgt. Adrien Paul Lormand, an incredibly generous and giving person who was loved by many, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023. Born on January 1, 1982, Adrien lived a life full of purpose and passion, touching the lives of everyone he encountered.

Adrien was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He had a special bond with his sons, nieces, and nephews, and their laughter brought immense joy to his heart. 

Adrien's selflessness extended beyond the confines of his personal life. He proudly served as an honorable discharged Sergeant in the United States Army. His commitment to upholding justice and defending his country earned him the respect and admiration of those who served alongside him. Adrien's bravery knew no bounds as he fearlessly fought for freedom and protected the values that our nation holds dear.

The legacy of Sgt. Adrien Paul Lormand will live on in the memories of those whose lives he touched. He will forever be remembered as a source of inspiration, a role model of generosity, and a beacon of kindness. Though our hearts ache from his absence, we find solace in the knowledge that his spirit will continue to guide us through life's challenges.

He is survived by his sons, Aiden Lormand and Hayden Lormand; father, Randy Lormand, Sr. (Theresa); mother, Darline Bernard (Myron); brothers, Randy J. Lormand, Jr., Ryan J. Lormand, Randon J. Lormand (Courteney), Ridge J. Lormand (Samantha) and Riley J. Lormand; sisters, Brandy N. Simon (Shovi) and Sophie K. Lormand; nephews, Alec Lormand, Dillan Lormand, Spencer Lormand, Zayne Stanley, Maxon Stanley and Carter Lormand; nieces, Leagan Dennaoui (Omar), Zoe' Lormand, Kailex Lewis, Audrey Lewis, Kenalee Nugent, Adalynn Lormand and Reaghan Lormand; godchildren, Carter Lormand, Destiny Hebert and Kaylee Richard; and paternal grandparents, Adrien Lormand and Ethelene Lormand.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Joyce Bernard; maternal grandparents, Nolan and Janet Bernard; paternal great-grandparents, Celestine "Mom Mom Shirl" and Valex Noel; brother-in-law, Jason Stanley; and cousins, Daniel J. Guidroz, Jr., Jan Bernard and Michael Bernard, II.

Pallbearers will be Randy Lormand, Jr., Ryan Lormand, Randon Lormand, Ridge Lormand, and Riley Lormand. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Savoie, Michael Bernard, and Leo Pold Bernard, Jr.
