Sharon Barras Louviere

Catahoula - A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Sharon Barras Louviere, 60, who passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall in Catahoula from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday. Rev. Abelardo Gabriel SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at a later date. Sharon was born May 20, 1960 in St. Martinville. She loved the outdoors and taking care of her plants. She enjoyed taking trips to the casino and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Taylin. Sharon will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son, Colby Louviere; a grandchild, Taylin Toucheck; mother, Vivian Montet Barras; brothers, Kip Barras and Julien "Ponky" Barras; sisters, Julie Boutte (Ken) and Faye Bourque (Terry); and her special friend and caretaker, Felicia Bonin. She was preceded in death by her father, Harris "Perut" Barras; and her sister, Tajuanah Barras. Pallbearers will be Colby Louviere, Kip Barras, Julien "Ponky" Barras, Dustin Faucheaux, Tim Bourque, and Nick Bourque. Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
