Shawnathan Joseph Nora

New Iberia Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Shawnathan Joseph Nora, 33, who died on Friday, December 13, 2013 in New Iberia. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 7:00 PM until 10:00 AM at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia. Shawnathan was born on December 15, 1979, and was a native and lifelong resident of New Iberia. He enjoyed life, music, and taking picture, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the children. Survivors include his wifr, Shenekia Matthews Nora of New Iberia, mother, Patsy Willis Nora of New Iberia, father, Huey Nora of New Iberia; children, ShaJuan Jamall Nora, Pharell Andre Nora, and Paytin Nakhol Nora all of Jeanerette; brothers, Huey McDonald Nora of New Iberia; sister, Shimyra Jolen Nora of Houston; grandfather, Joseph Willis of Kenner; wifes parents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Glenn Smith of Jeanerette; sisters-in-law, Kiara Jones of New Iberia, Kendra Matthews of Jeanerette; grandmother-in-law, Doretha Matthews of Jeanerette; godfather and uncle, Roy Julien of Loreauville, godmother, Peggy Jackson of New Iberia; aunt, Shelia Julien of Loreauville; uncle, Terry Willis of Loreauville; and a host of nieces, nephews, and godchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Dorothy Rose Nora, and Lillie Mae Wiltz; great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Wiltz.
