Shirley Mae Champagne

St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Shirley Mae Champagne, 80, who passed away on March 24, 2024 at her residence.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Wednesday from 7:30 am until time of service.

A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 PM on Wednesday.

Father David M. Rozas will officiate at the funeral service. 

Interment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum. 

Shirley was born on July 5, 1943 in Saint Martinville. Shirley was a devoted mother who poured her heart and soul into creating beautiful memories for her children and grandchildren. Her eyes sparkled with joy whenever she was surrounded by loved ones, especially during family gatherings and celebrations. She found immense happiness in simple moments spent playing pokeno or watching her kids and grandkids participate in various activities. 

She will be deeply missed by all her knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Whitney Champagne; son, Nolis Champagne (Julia); daughter, Anne Albert (Ricky "Ricko"); brother, Dieudonne "Nana" Blanchard; grandchildren, Jed Champagne (Kellie), Justin Champagne (Lindsey), Emily Leblanc (Noah), Kaleb Albert (Bailey), Ridge Albert (Rayni); great-grandchildren, Maddie Champagne, Olivia Leblanc, Parker Leblanc, Jace Albert, Luca Albert, Ryker Albert, Aiden Richard, Brysin Richard (Victoria) and Addi Richard; great-great grandchildren, Lynnox Richard and Maverick Richard.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Bernadette Blanchard; brothers, Raymond Blanchard, Virgil "YuYu" Blanchard, Nolis Blanchard and Nick Blanchard; sister, Eula "Catan" Dauphine.

Pallbearers will be Nolis Champagne, Jed Champagne, Justin Champagne, Ricko Albert, Kaleb Albert and Ridge Albert.
