Shirley Primeaux Frederick

New Iberia A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in New Iberia for Shirley Primeaux Frederick, 78, who died Thursday, June 5, 2014 in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Ed Degeyter will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Monday. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. A native of Erath and a longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Frederick was born on January 11, 1936 to Elie and Anita Broussard Primeaux. She worked with her late husband and sons in the family business, CF&S Tank and Equipment Company, formerly Cleve Frederick & Son Oilfield Services. Her hobbies included horse racing, and going to the casino. Mrs. Frederick is survived by her sons, Terry Frederick and wife Beth of New Iberia, Robert Frederick and wife Joan of Lafayette; step son, Ricky Frederick and wife Rose of New Iberia; sister, Linda Dworshak and husband Vern of Erath; 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and her beloved pet dog, Jazz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claven Cleve Frederick, Sr.; step sons, Gerald Fredrick, and C.J. Frederick, Jr. Pallbearers will be Robert Frederick, Terry Frederick, Ricky Frederick, Alex Frederick, Clyde Romero, and Kelly Frederick. The family would like to give special thanks to the caregivers, Nicole, Matkeisha, Darlene, and the staff of Garden View for their extraordinary care and compassion.
