Shirley Harris Johnson

New Iberia - Shirley Ann Harris Johnson, 82, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Consolota Nursing Home. Shirley was born and raised in Pana, Illinois and resided in Vicksburg, Mississippi, prior to moving to New Iberia. Shirley worked as a legal secretary and in administration for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. As a pastime, she enjoyed quilting, sharing many of her creations with her family and friends, and traveling to various destinations. As a form of relaxation and entertainment for others to enjoy, Shirley loved to play the piano. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert R. Johnson; two daughters, Tara Warner and Krista Viator; and her grandson, Jacob Ray Viator, all of New Iberia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Elsie Urshel Harris.
