Sidney Bonhomme

St. Martinville - A Graveside Service will be held at Queen of Peace Cemetery on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 11:00 am for Sidney Joseph Bonhomme, 75, who passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in St. Martinville. 

A gathering of family and friends will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville on Saturday from 8:00 am until 10:30 am. 

Sidney proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 26 years, earning the rank of Master Chief. His dedication to his country and the values he instilled in his family will always be cherished. After his retirement from military service, he continued to serve his community as a security professional, displaying the same steadfast commitment that characterized his naval career.

A devoted father, grandfather and brother, Sidney found immense joy in cooking and spending time with his family. He was also a passionate Dallas Cowboys fan. Sidney will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his sons, Darrin Bonhomme and Keitha Bonhomme; step-son, Antonio Smith; brothers, David Bonhomme, Sr., Russell Bonhomme (Rachael), Gary Bonhomme, Sr. and Michael Bonhomme; sister, Nancy Bonhomme; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Wright Bonhomme; parents, Howard Bonhomme and Loevina Joseph Bonhomme; and sisters, Linda Ledet, Carolyn Mitchell and Leeanna Anthony.
