Sierra Lynn Savoie

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Sierra Lynn Savoie, 23, who passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, in Lafayette. 

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Cecilia on Monday from 4:30 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 am until 12:30 pm.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Monday evening. 

Father Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. 

Sierra attended University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Southwest Louisiana Community College, where she earned an Associates Degree in General Studies and was working towards becoming a Registered Nurse. She had a passion for nursing and she always made sure her family's health was taken care of. 

Sierra was a true "daddy's girl", but she dearly loved her family, especially her dog, Bentley. She will be remembered for her huge, caring heart and she was always willing to help anyone in need. 

Sierra also had a passion for animals, especially elephants. She loved doing makeup, reading, shopping and going eat out. Sierra was a best friend to many, as well as a loving and devoted daughter, sister, girlfriend, godmother, niece and granddaughter. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her parents, Brent Savoie and Michelle Butler Savoie; brothers, Dillion Savoie and Bryce Savoie; significant other, Harley Hooper; godchild, Lucian James Savoie; paternal grandmother, Rita Rosa Belle Savoie; paternal grandfather, Joseph Yves Savoie (Caroline); maternal grandparents, Charles Butler, Sr. and Catherine Castania Butler; uncle and godfather, John Savoie; uncles, Kelly Savoie (Heather) and Charles "Charlie" Butler, Jr.; aunt and godmother, Alicia Day (Ronald); her beloved dog, Bentley; and a host of cousins.

She is preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmother, Joan Domingue; and aunt, Ellen Stelly. 

Pallbearers will be Dillion Savoie, Bryce Savoie, Luke Adaway, John Savoie, Kelly Savoie and Harley Hooper.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lucian Savoie, Charlie Butler, Jr., Joshua McGee and Ryan Dugas.
