Soi Tran

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 6, 2010 at St. Helena Catholic Church in Louisa for Soi Thi Tran, 87, who died Friday, October 29, 2010 at her residence. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Baldwin. Rev. Thomas Nguyen will be the Celebrant. Survivors include her sons, Tan Minh Do of California, Frank Phong Do of Louisa; her daughters, Loan Do Pham of New Iberia, Oanh Thi Do of New Iberia, Nguyet Thi Do of Louisa, Ann Tuyet Do of Abbeville, Xuan Mai Do of New Iberia; her brothers, Hoc Tran of Kansas and Huan Tran of Mississippi; she is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Tang Manh Do; her parents, Tam Van Tran and Tam Thi Tran; her brother, Huan Tran. Pallbearers will be Truong Pham, Son Hoang, John Nguyen, Thai Nguyen, Joshua Nguyen and Chuong Nguyen. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. There will be a mass at 6:00 Friday evening.
