Breaux Bridge - Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Friday, May 30, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Stanley Joseph "Slim" LeBlanc, 92, who passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1:30 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday, and continue at 9:00 am until 1:45 pm on Friday at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday.
Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will conduct the funeral service. Scriptures will be read by Carla Lester. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum in Lafayette.
Mr. LeBlanc honorably served his country in the Louisiana Army National Guard. He was the owner of L & L Seafood and was retired from Southern Pacific Railroad. An avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting, Slim also enjoyed playing Poker with his family and friends.
He is survived by three sisters, Leota Lester and husband, Willie, of Breaux Bridge, Eula Mae Usie of Henderson, and Luda Stutes of Judice.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lucille Arceneaux LeBlanc; his parents, Valsin and Honorine Melancon LeBlanc, four brothers, Willis, Holden, Bernard and Noe LeBlanc; and one sister, Fabiola L. Huval.
Pallbearers will be David Lester, Charles Lester, Bo Lester, Blake Melancon, Sonny Stutes, and James Gardermal.
