Stefan Popa Jr.

A memorial service will be held at a later date for Stefan John ""Pop"" Popa, Jr., 79, who died Sunday, May 8, 2005 at Amelia Manor Nursing Home in Lafayette. Mr. Popa was a veteran of World War, II having served in the U.S. Marines. Survivors include his daughter, Elaine Rodman of Breaux Bridge; his brother, Eli ""Chuck"" Popa of San Diego, CA; his sister, Helen Sazbo of Canton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Megan and Glen Rodman; and his best friend and neighbor, Scott Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stefan J. Popa, Sr.; and his brother, Glen Stephan Popa. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
