It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephannie Theriot, a cherished mother, beloved grandmother, and talented seamstress, who left this world on August 28, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on July 22, 1952, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, Stephannie lived her life surrounded by the warmth of family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and creativity.
Stephannie was a gifted seamstress, known for crafting beautiful creations for her grandchildren and friends, each stitch woven with care and affection. Her creativity extended beyond her sewing, as she found joy in baking special treats for her children and grandchildren, ensuring every occasion was memorable.
For many years, Stephannie also dedicated her time and heart to St. Bernard School, where she served as a teacher's aide. She had a special gift for connecting with children, making each student feel cared for, valued, and loved. The impact she made was lasting, and even years later, the students she taught still speak about how much they loved her and the special place she held in their hearts.
She had a passion for dancing, traveling, and attending reunions with her classmates, sharing stories and laughter that echoed the bonds of friendship.
A proud supporter of her husband, Joseph Theriot, Jr., she loved to listen to him play music with his band, reveling in the melodies that brought joy to their lives. Coffee dates with her dear friend, Gail Boudreaux, were a highlight of her week, where they would share laughter and reminisce about old times.
Stephannie's warmth extended well beyond her family; she was known as a wonderful person who was always ready to lend a helping hand. Her smile had a unique ability to light up a room and touched everyone she met.
In this time of sorrow, we invite all to join together in remembering a beautiful soul whose spirit will forever remain in our lives. May her legacy of love and kindness continue to inspire us all.
