Sue Alice LeBlanc

December 31, 1957 — March 12, 2026

Breaux Bridge - It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Sue Alice Melancon LeBlanc, 68, who passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at her residence.

Sue was 1 of 5 children born to Lawrence "PeeWee" and Anna Lou Knott Melancon on December 31, 1957 in Arnaudville, Louisiana.

Sue met the love of her life and forever partner, Joey, in 1984 and married him on January 23, 1987. Not long after, they welcomed one son and two daughters.

Sue will be remembered for her selfless and generous soul, who always took care of everyone but herself. She took great pride in being a homemaker and a stay at home mom to her three children, whom she loved and adored immensely. Her greatest pride and joy was her grandchildren; she loved them more than anything in life. She spoiled them until her last breath.

In her spare time, Sue enjoyed crafting and making beaded rosaries. Her passions also included planting flowers (roses were her favorite), remodeling and cleaning her house and cooking for her family.

She is survived by her loving children, Robert D. "Bobby" Boutte, Jr., Rachel L. Tarver and Heather M. LeBlanc; sons-in-law who she loved as her own, Nathan R. Tarver and Craig J. Dartez, II; grandchildren, Phillip Domingue (Shelby), Tylor (Kaitlyn); Ian and Beau Boutte, Taygan and Keagan Tarver, Craig, III, Cress and Croix Dartez; sister, Earline Billiot (Anthony); brother, George Melancon (Gwen); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; her very close friend, relative and caretaker, Deborah Scoggin; and close friend, Gina LeBlanc.

She is preceded in death by her true love, Joey LeBlanc; parents, Lawrence "PeeWee" Melancon and Anna Lou Melancon; brothers, Darrell and Michael Melancon; paternal and maternal grandparents; sister-in-law, Barbara Melancon; nephew, Chad Melancon; and her best friend and sister, Linda Bourque.

The family has decided to respect the wishes of Sue and not have a public service, but a private celebration of life will be planned by her immediate family at a later date.

Pellerin Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
