Sylvian Guidroz

Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 11 a .m. , Monday, April 4, 2011 , at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Henderson for Sylvian Edward Guidroz, 71 , who passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home in Arnaudville. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson . Brother Bob Woods, will conduct the services. Sylvian loved farming, animals, crawfishing, hunting, visiting with friends and was a collector of all items. He enjoyed watching cowboy movies, listening to his favorite radio station, KBON and preparing his favorite dish, cornbread. Survivors include his son, Kaiser Edward Guidroz of Arnaudville; his daughters, Sharon Schexnider and her husband, Ricky of Henderson and Shannon Courville and her companion, Gary Courville of Arnaudville; his sister, Eva Marie G. LaGrange and her husband, John of Cecilia; his grandchildren, Bruce and Ryan Schexnider, Duke Guidroz, Kaysha Duplechain, Paul and Jodi Lasseigne and Cody and Shea Guidroz; his great grandchildren Peyton Duplechain, Jaylan Lasseigne, Blaize Guidroz, Syrus and Kaiser Guidroz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Dupuis Guidroz; and his parents, Edward and Alta Fitzgerald Guidroz. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2011 and continue at 7:00 a.m. until time of service on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Duke Guidroz, Cody Guidroz, Paul Lasseigne, Sim Lasseigne, Ricky Schexnider and Gary Courville. Pellerin Funeral Home of Henderson is in charge of arrangements.
