New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia for Tammy Marie Romero, 45 who died Sunday, April 24, 2011 in New Iberia . Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Mausoleum. Rev. Jude Thierry will be the Celebrant. The readings will be proclaimed by Tricia Romero, and Mona Dore. Gift Bearers include Megan Romero, Alex Romero, Hannah Romero, and Hunter Romero. Born on March 15, 1966 in New Iberia , Tammy was a devoted homemaker, and also caregiver to her parents. An avid New Orleans Saints fan, she enjoyed taking care of children, dancing, and cooking. Survivors include her husband, Troy Adam Romero of New Iberia ; mother, Amy Alleman Romero of New Iberia ; daughter, Megan Marie Romero of New Iberia ; son, Alex Adam Paul Romero of New Iberia ; brothers, Nelton P. Romero, Sr, Shelton J. Romero and wife Susie, Ricky P. Romero, Sr., Jeffery M. Romero and wife Tammy, Robert J. Romero and wife Terrilyn all of New Iberia; sisters, Susan R. Dutile and husband Desire, Amanda 'Gail' R. Landry and husband Steve, Nancy R. Carline and husband Brent, and Sandra A. Romero, all of New Iberia; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ricky and Mona Romero of New Iberia; sister-in-law, Tricia Romero and husband Dusty of New Iberia; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Edmond Romero, and a sister-in-law, Cynthia Romero. Pallbearers will be Dusty Romero, Jeff Romero, Blayze Romero, Beau Romero, Kody Romero, and Blake Romero. Honorary pallbearers include Alex Romero, Megan Romero, Nelton Romero, Sr., Shelton Romero, Ricky Romero, Robert Romero, Hunter Romero, and Hannah Romero. The family would like to give special thanks to Tammy's caregivers, Tricia Romero, Deanna Mitchell, Mandy Derouen, and the many others for their extraordinary care and support. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Tuesday.
