Taylor Taylor began working in the dredging industry when he was 18 years old. Working all across the United States as well as overseas, Taylor became very well-known and admired by many in his industry. Much of his career was dedicated to Kirby Inland Marine, where he built long-lasting relationships with his fellow crewmates. He was recognized on the boats for his delicious cooking, captivating story-telling, and friendly demeanor. On the mainland, Taylor appreciated the simple joys of life. He loved working with his hands and leaving things better than he found them, building his collection of over 100 bottles of hot sauce from places he'd visited, and spending a Sunday afternoon visiting St. Edward Catholic Church to stop by Charlene's grave. Most of all though, he loved spending time with family and loved ones and reminiscing on the good ole days. He loved his children and grandchildren, but what brought him the greatest joy was visiting and playing with his great grandchildren. Taylor leaves to cherish along with his family, a host of nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his daughters, Stacy Taylor Stoute (Robert), Monica Taylor Meche (Paul), and Catina Taylor Guidry (Todd); six grandchildren, Taylor Guidry, Neal Hebert, Brady Hebert, Kori Hebert, Kiri Domengeaux, and Matthieu Meche; 11 great grandchildren, Brogan, Manix, Owen, Luke, Jevin, Finley, Noah, Ryan, Ryleigh, June, and Margot; and three sisters-in-law, Angela Robin Taylor, Shirley Olivier Taylor, and Patricia Latiolais Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Valex and Edna Taylor, Sr.; beloved wife of 53 years, Louella Taylor; son, Neal James Taylor; sister, Ella Mae Taylor Daigle; seven brothers, Evans "Frère" Taylor, Valex "Buck" Taylor, Jr., Resnaire Taylor, Joseph "Me" Taylor, Louis Taylor, Larry "Amigo" Taylor and Harris Taylor.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Guidry, Matthieu Meche, Donavon Taylor, Blane Taylor, Jeremy Darby and Mark Hebert.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Meche, Deuce Domengeaux, Geary Taylor, Kyle Taylor  and Lukie Pontiff.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Warren Degatur, and the nurses at Ochsner St. Martin Hospital, Patti, Amber, and Stephanie.
