Terry Carlin

New Iberia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, for Terry Carlin, 66, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at the Calcutta House, in Lafayette. 

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Garrett Savoie will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be Monday, from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home and will continue Tuesday from 10:00 am until 1:30 pm. A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed Monday at 6:00 pm. 

A native of Erath, Terry was born on September 1, 1957, to the late James and Evelyn Touchet Carlin. He was the assistant produce manager at Super One Foods, in New Iberia, where he worked for over 29 years. A very meticulous person, Terry strived to have everything “just perfect”. He enjoyed cars, playing golf, raising show pigeons, and feeding any stray cats. Very much a “homebody”, Terry loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who he adored. 

Survivors include his children, Cassie Bourque (Jacques), and Brett Carlin (Paul Nguyen); grandchildren, Quinn Kay Bourque, Levi Bourque, and one due to arrive in January; and his beloved Shis Tzu, “Jolie”. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Karen Touchet Carlin.

 Pallbearers will be Ross Stevens, Ryan Thorne, Grant Thorne, Gavyn Stevens, Jeremy Watkins, Kevin Thorne, and Robert Thorne.

 Honorary pallbearers include Kyle “Tubby” Stevens, Stoney Romero, Shelton Romero, and Steve Lopez.
