Visitation will be Wednesday, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am, at St. Anne Catholic Church, in Youngsville.

Rev. Michael Russo will be the Celebrant.

Terry was born on March 19, 1953, in New Iberia, Louisiana. He worked as a Sr. Technician with Sears for over 40 years. Upon retirement, he was employed part-time with Limousine’s Limited - affectionately known as "The Shed". Terry particularly enjoyed the family-like relationship with his co-workers at The Shed. They offered great support to him during his brief illness,

Terry's true legacy will be the love he shared with his family. Bar-B-Ques and crawfish boils were his passion, and he took great pride in every detail. His devotion to his beloved wife showed brightly in their 25 years together. In his spare time, he could be found repairing appliances, doing "off the clock" appliance repairs for family and friends, grooming his lawn and grounds, tending to his rental properties or having fun with his furry companion, Cota. Terry's wisdom, humor and love for his family will be missed.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sandra Faulk Barras; his son Lance Michael Barras; stepson, Trevor Payne and his wife, Mila; his brother Taylor Barras and his wife, Cheryl; his sisters, Garneth Barras Viltz and her husband Glen; Gina Barras Bergeron and her husband Mark; his mother-in-law, Audrey Faulk; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton J. Barras and Mazel Borel Barras

The family would like to express their gratitude to his caregivers, Ms. Trula Coleman, Dalphina Lockett, Connie Savoy and to the staff at Maison de Lafayette for their attentive care.
