A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 PM, Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Thanh Van Nguyen, 90, who passed away on June 9, 2026 at The Carpenter House in Lafayette.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge on Saturday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Thanh was a Veteran for the Vietnam War and answered the call to serve his country and was honorably discharged.
Thanh Van Nguyen, a devoted husband, beloved son, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who left this world on June 9, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on October 10, 1935, in Vietnam, Thanh led a life rich in simplicity and profound respect for others. He touched the hearts of everyone he encountered.
Thanh devoted many years of his life to working as a crawfish peeler in the agriculture industry, demonstrating an unwavering dedication to his work. More than a profession, it was a testament to his work ethic and commitment to providing for his family. He found joy in the little things, often reflecting on life through his journal, cherishing moments spent communicating with family and friends. He was known for his warmth, kindness, and the peaceful serenity he brought to those around him.
As we remember Thanh Van Nguyen, let us embrace the values he instilled in us-kindness, simplicity, and a deep respect for one another. He will be dearly missed, but his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
He is survived by his son-in-law, Dung Phan (Tram); son, Tam Nguyen; grandchildren, Lena (Raymond IV), Linda, Michael, Lilian (George III), Lauren (Tyler), Phiyen, Philong (Sarah) and Phiphung; great grandchildren, Grayson, Avery, George, Abigail, Carter, Avah, Legend, Kingston, Cash, Sterling, and Gold.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dung Nguyen; daughter, Kimlien Nguyen.
