"I will give you a window into the past and introduce you to the people I love and loved, that gave me the values I live by." was the introduction to her memoirs which she wrote at the youthful age of 89 in order to share her family??s heritage as well as her life story with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, so they could also treasure what was so very dear to her: "The good old days!" Thelma was born on August 12, 1920 to Aristille 'DoDo' LeBlanc, Jr. and Laurence Hebert LeBlanc in Breaux Bridge , LA. It was at the age of 17, while attending a dance in Charenton , LA in 1939, that she met the love of her life, A. D. She was a parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church and a member of the St. Bernard Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America, St. Bernard School Foundation, and the American Legion Post 133. A devout Catholic, it was her eternal faith in God that kept her strong and active for many years, allowing her to care for those in need throughout the community. She loved springtime and had a passion for working in her yard, where she would enjoy listening to the birds chirping and appreciate all that nature had to offer, which gave her a sense of peace and happiness in her life. Thelma had an endless love for her family and enjoyed the opportunity to cook for them every Sunday and holidays as well ?? those memories they will forever hold close to their hearts. We are blessed to have been touched by an Angel whose warm and gentle smile will never be forgotten, by the many lives she??s touched in one way or another ?? she will be truly missed by her family and the many friends she??s met through her travels, both near and far. In closing with her own words, "I thank God every day for my wonderful family; my children, Joan Ann, Ronnie, Brenda, Tesa, their children and grandchildren, keep me going."May her soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. Survivors include her son, Ronald James Broussard and his wife, Sheryl, of Parks; three daughters, Joan B. Guidry of Parks, Brenda B. Benoit and her husband, Darrell, and Tesa B.
