Theodore Kenley Jones

New Iberia- A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, for Theodore Kenley Jones, 51, who passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Entombment will be at a later date.

Rev. David Furka will be the Celebrant.

Visitation will be at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A native of New Iberia, Kenley was born on June 26, 1972, and was a graduate of St. Paul’s in Covington. Having a deep passion for golf, he then enrolled in the PGA Golf Program. Kenley worked as an assistant Golf Pro at the Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, and at the Country Club of Louisiana, in Baton Rouge. He was later employed as a sales representative for Happy City Distribution. An avid LSU fan, Kenley will be missed by everyone.

Survivors include his parents, Sylvia Sliman Gruber and William Frederick Gruber; son, Luke Kenley Jones; brothers, Robert Russell Jones, III (Kim) and Paul Andrew Jones (Dawn); nieces and nephew, Autumn Anaise Jones, Ann Madison Jones, and Andrew Stewart Jones; uncle, Theodore Anthony Sliman, Jr. (Anita); cousins, Shauntelle Sliman Tatford (Brent), Kayla Sliman Voigt (Duffy), and Theodore Anthony Sliman, III (Mary).

Kenley was preceded in death by a son, Ian Christopher Jones; grandparents, Yvonne Ashy Sliman and Theodore Anthony Sliman.

Pallbearers will be Luke Kenley Jones, Robert Russell Jones, III, Paul Andrew Jones, Theodore Anthony Sliman, Jr., Theodore Anthony Sliman, III, Craig William Leleux, and Blaze Joseph Fremin.

Honorary pallbearers include William Frederick Gruber, Andrew Stewart Jones, Dr. Gayle Manch Sanchez, James Michael Adams, Kyle David Guilbeaux, Jeffrey Scott Calloway, and Gerald Rene Louviere, Jr.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
