Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 3:30 PM, Friday, March 06, 2026, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge honoring the life of Thomas "Tom" Dupuis, 67, entered eternal rest with the love of his family by his side on March 1, 2026, at his residence.
Thomas, known as "Tom," since childhood, was born April 16, 1958, in Lafayette. Tom graduated from Breaux Bridge High School class of 1977. Tom became a true, hardworking man, known for his strong hands, strong will, and pride in an honest day's work all while enduring his pain with dignity.
Tom dedicated several loyal and dependable years to Dupuis Heating & AC, earning the respect of his colleagues and forming lasting friendships that extended far beyond the job to all the customers.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Tom found peace in the woods along the water. Whether it was early mornings in a deer stand, walks down wooded trails before sunrise, or meeting lifelong friends Joe Roger & Ed Meyers at the Butte La Rose Landing to head down river to "Yellow Camp", those moments brought him joy and stories he loved to share.
Tom devoted his life as a proud yet humble provider, he always made sure everyone else was taken care of before himself. He cherished time spent with his family and cooking at gatherings with his siblings, in-laws and friends. His granddaughters were the joy of his life, inspiring pride and a sense of purpose that showed his dimples and brightened his blue eyes!
Tom will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will forever be remembered for his simple, unassuming nature and his profound impact on the lives he touched.
He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 31 years, Jodie Magnon Dupuis; children, Thomas John "TJ" Dupuis and Reba Dupuis; grandchildren, Emma Dupuis and Addison Williams; twin brother, Tim Dupuis (Sheila); siblings, David Dupuis, Sr. (Dolores), Michael Dupuis (Tina), and Delores Doyle; and close friends cherished like his own family, Candy Clark and Michael Lanclos.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Lena Marie Huval Dupuis; sister, Mary H. Dupuis Belaire; in-laws, Orren "OB" Benoit Magnon, Jr. and Shirley Mire Hale; and Tom's wife's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Guidry.
Deacon Perry Guidry will officiate the service. The family requests visitation be held at the funeral home Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service, and a rosary be prayed at 12:00 PM. Readers will be Heather Dupuis and Charly Hawk. Following the service, cremation will be carried out according to Tom's wishes.Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
