Parks - Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, January 10, 2014, at Parks Baptist Church in Parks, for Thomas Edward Huval, 54, who passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, and continue at 8:00 am until 10:45 am on Friday, at Parks Baptist Church, 5140 Main Hwy., Parks, LA 70582. An A.A. Meeting will be held at 7 pm on Thursday at the church.
Pastor Rob Burdeaux will officiate at the Funeral Service.
Thomas was a member of Parks Baptist Church and Mens Choir, and he was also a member of A.A. for 22 years. Thomas enjoyed bowling and participated in league bowling for numerous years, he loved singing and spending time with his grandkids, who were the light in his eyes.
He is survived by his wife loving wife of 12 years, Deidra L. Huval of Breaux Bridge; his mother, Theresa Webb Huval of Lafayette; four step daughters, Jodie Dautreuil, Kayla Fournet, Shannon Fournet, and Sara Fournet, all of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, Maurice Anthony Huval and Herbert John (Tina) Huval, all of Lafayette; three sisters, Debbie Rose Huval of Scott, Earline Marie (Harold) Delhomme of Lafayette, and Jean Ann (Raymond) Castille of New Iberia; two step grandchildren, Gage Michael Fournet and Sydni Rene Alleman, both of Breaux Bridge; his godchild, Jacqueline (Ron) Patton of Grand Marais; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bert Joseph Huval, Sr.; brother, Bert J. Huval, Jr.; and his step daughter, Ashley Rene Fournet.
Pallbearers will be Herbert Huval, Tony Huval, Ryan Castille, Brandon Laneaux, Cole Huval, and Derek Delhomme.
Honorary pallbearers will be his fellow A.A. Members.
