BreauxBridge - A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Thomas Mitchell LeBlanc, 64, who passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at St. Agnes Healthcare Rehab in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Donald Pousson will officiate at the Mass. Scriptures will be read by Ed and Tina L. Sadoski. Gift Bearers will be his siblings. Inurnment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1. Tommy was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having honorably served his country in the United States Navy. In his younger years he enjoyed playing football. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Tommy always looked forward to spending time with his family and friends on various occasions and family gatherings. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him. Survivors include his mother, Aileen Calais Andrus of Houston, TX; his father, Floyd LeBlanc of Breaux Bridge; his son, Thomas Kain Russo of New Orleans; two brothers, Winn Andrus and wife, Sherry, of Spring, TX, and Todd Andrus and wife, Patricia, of Cypress, TX; one sister, Tina L. Sadoski and husband, Ed, of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Kourtney Russo of Carencro, and Myiah Russo of Scott; two nieces, Holly Campagna and husband, Nicholas, of Houston, TX, and Lindsey Andrus of Spring, TX; two nephews, Austin Andrus of Spring, TX, and Michael Andrus of Cypress, TX; four aunts, Kathleen LeBlanc of Lafayette, Audrey Nelson and husband, Jim, of Houston, TX, Florence Broussard, and Lena Martin and husband, Jim, all of Breaux Bridge; one uncle, Donald LeBlanc and wife, Aggie, of Lafayette; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his step father, E.C. Porter Andrus; maternal grandparents, Adley and Aminte Calais; paternal grandparents, Joel and Adelle LeBlanc; his godmother, Jeanne C. Patin and husband, Fred; and a niece, Michelle Sadoski. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. The family would like to extend special thanks to Johnny Raymond and the staff of St. Agnes Healthcare Rehab, for the care they provided him during his time there.
