New Iberia - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tien Van Ho, who left us on August 30, 2025, in New Iberia, Louisiana, at the age of 64. Born on April 10, 1961, in Da Nang, Vietnam, Tien's journey took him far from his birthplace, but he carried the warmth of his heritage and the spirit of hard work with him throughout his life.
Visitation will be at Pellerin Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and will resume on Sunday from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm.
Entombment will follow at Nativity of Our Lady Cemetery in New Iberia.
A devoted commercial crab fisherman, Tien poured his heart into his career, taking great pride in the fruits of his labor. He loved to work, finding joy in the rhythm of the ocean and the thrill of the catch. His dedication to his craft defined his character, and it served as a foundation for the life he built.
Tien found joy in watching football, sharing those exhilarating moments with friends and family. The action movies on YouTube also captivated him, offering endless entertainment. Tien also had a fondness for visiting the casino, where the thrill of chance added a spark to his evenings.
Perhaps his greatest joy, however, came in the simple yet profound moments spent with his grandchildren. Tien cherished the time spent with them, creating memories that will forever echo in their hearts. He will be deeply missed.
Mr. Ho is survived by his loving wife, Phim Pham Ho; children, Son Ho (Jessica Ho), Vu Ho, Phuc Diem Ho (Danny Khammany), and Kieu Diem Ho (Brandon Anslum); grandchildren, Devin Van Ho, Maddison Ho, Launa Guidry, and Kai Khammany; and siblings, Thanh Van Ho, Cu Van Ho, Thanh Thi Ho, and Hoa Thi Ho.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cho Van Ho and Nga Thi Vo.
Pallbearers will be Son Ho, Vu Ho, Devin Ho, Thanh Van Ho, Cu Van Ho, and Danny Khammany.
Tien’s memory will live on through the lives he touched and the family he cherished deeply. While we mourn his absence, we celebrate his spirit, which will forever be a guiding light in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
