Troy Thomas Eldridge

Troy Thomas Eldridge, 65, of Loreauville, passed away peacefully at home on July 16, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on March 19, 1961, Troy was the son of Barbara and Thomas Eldridge. He grew up in Loreauville and attended local schools there. Troy went on to become an offshore crew boat captain, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Troy found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who meant the world to him. He loved keeping busy with small side projects, always finding something to fix or improve. He especially cherished the moments when his boys would call on him to help work on their trucks.

He had a personality that was uniquely his own. He never met a cigarette he didn't enjoy, a Coca-Cola he couldn't finish, or a cuss word he couldn't put to good use. His humor, honesty, and down-to-earth nature made him unforgettable to those who knew and loved him.

Troy is survived by his loving wife, Edith Hebert Eldridge; his children, Skyler Soirez, Troy Thomas Eldridge Jr, Toree Gravouia (Brennan), Jon Garritt Eldridge (Bailey), and Raven Eldridge (Tara Picard); as well as his grandchildren, Cain, Esmaee, Conrad, Parker, Pierce, and Benjamin.

A Mass will be held at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 11:00 am. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Hospice in his memory.

Troy will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Pellerin Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
