Ty Anthony Trahan

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, on Monday, June 20, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Ty Anthony Trahan, 38, who passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm on Sunday, and continue on Monday at 7:00 am until time of service, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday. Fr. Austin Leger will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Ty was an avid Ragin Cajun fan. He loved baseball, marching in the UL band, as a drummer, and making ship models, especially pirate ships. Ty was a huge history buff, knowing everything about the Civil War. He loved to read and play Nintendo. Ty could tell you anything about baseball, especially his favorite player, Ty Cobb. He will be remembered as one who never complained and always had an infectious smile on his face. Ty had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his son, Benjamin Trahan of Lafayette; his parents, Lynn and Patricia Romero Trahan of Lafayette; his brother, Timothy Trahan of Lafayette; his maternal grandmother, Eula Mae Romero of Lafayette; his aunts, Rebecca Leblanc of Cecilia, Cheryl Mouton of Lafayette, Liz Romero of Parks, and Roblyn Romero of Lafayette; and his uncles, Melvin Trahan of Lafayette, Patrick Romero of Youngsville, and Keith Romero of Parks. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Claude, Jr. and Wilma Calais Trahan; and his maternal grandfather, Robley Romero. Pallbearers will be Timothy Allen and Melvin Trahan, Patrick and Keith Romero, Andy Leblanc Jr., and Perry Calais. Honorary pallbearers will be Benjamin Trahan and Timothy Richard Trahan.
