Verlie Latiolais

Catahoula - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. , on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula, for Verlie Marie Poirier Latiolais, 67, who passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Iberia Medical Center. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Fr. Richard Fabre will officicate at the funeral service. Survivors include her husband, Raymond Latiolais, Sr. of Catahoula; one son, Raymond Latiolais, Jr. and his wife, Monica, of Catahoula; two daughters, Pamela Latiolais and her companion, Bernell Bernard, of Arnaudville, and Pandessa Morvant and her husband, Troy, of Parks; her son-in-law, Wilfred Viator of Parks; two brothers, Dudley Poirier and his wife, Harriet, of Rayne, and Adam Poirier and his wife, Ronnie, of Jeanerette; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pandora Viator; her parents, Adam and Rosie Touchet Poirier; her sister, Shirley Derouen; and her brother, Douglas Poirier. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall on Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. and continue until 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Patrick Babineaux, Codi Viator, Gage Morvant, Grant Morvant, Troy Morvant, and Larry Poirier. Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Lat, Devin Viator, Xander Babineaux, Ayden Babineaux, and Kandon Bergeron. Pellerin Funeral Home (337.332.2111) is in charge of arrangements.
