VIEWVIDEOTRIBUTE Jeanerette - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Jeanerette, for Viola Guillotte Gary, 82, who passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2008 in New Iberia. ; Interment will follow in the church cemetery. ; Rev. Jody Simoneaux will be the Celebrant, and the readings will be proclaimed by Lisa Simpson and Joann Rogers. ; Born on January 16, 1926 in Jeanerette, Ms. Gary enjoyed playing cards and listening to French music. ; Survivors include her sons, Eugene Hebert and wife Verda of Charenton; Harrison Hebert and wife Charlotte of New Iberia; daughter, Carolyn Maturin and husband James of Charenton, Pamela Rogers and husband William of New Iberia; 17 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, and one due to arrive in December. ; She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Alicia Schwab Guillotte; granddaughter, Lisa Maturin; brothers, Wilson, Whitney, Russell, Wilfred; sisters, Odelia, Yolande, and Elvia. ; A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Monday.
