Parks A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at St. Louis Chapel in Parks, for Wallace J. "Slim" Wiltz, 76, who passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 am until 10:45 am on Tuesday, at St. Louis Chapel in Parks. A rosary will be recited at 10 am on Tuesday.
Fr. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Funeral Mass with Fr. Donovan Labbe concelebrating.
Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Wallace, better known to everyone as, Slim or Wild Bill, never met a stranger and enjoyed helping those in need in the community. He loved spending time with his family and friends and as a pastime he enjoyed going fishing and he loved to Zydeco.
Mr. Wiltz was a parishioner of St. Louis Chapel in Parks and a member of the St. Paul Benevolent Society.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Mitchell Wiltz; his son, Clifford Wiltz and his wife, Darlene; his brother, Melvin Wiltz; and two sisters, Gloria Wiltz and Louise Wiltz Hebert.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Bertha Ledet Wiltz; and four brothers, Lucian, Carlton, Paul, and Raymond Wiltz
