Walter Clement

New Iberia – Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Walter Clement, 92, who passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Deacon Josh LeBlanc will officiate.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home, and will continue Thursday, from 8:00 am until time of service.

A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 6:00 pm, on Wednesday, at Pellerin Funeral Home.

A longtime resident of New Iberia, Mr. Clement was born on September 23, 1933, in Morse, to the late Domician and Marie Enita Touchet Clement. He worked as a plant operator for the City of New Iberia, retiring after 27 years of service, and was a former usher at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Mr. Clement enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, French music, dancing, and visiting with everyone. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Linda Hebert of New Iberia, Terry Clement (Liz Bodin) of New Iberia, Russell Clement (Kim Noel) of New Iberia, and Michael Clement (Debbie Trouille); grandchildren, Brent Bonin, Crystal Blanchard, Ryan Clement (Karla), Caitlin Clement (Roberto Vallejo), Peyton Clement, Courtney Clement, Brody Boullion, Kimberly Hebert Billiot (William), and Scott Hebert (Serenity); great grandchildren, Chelsey Hebert Darby (Brandon), Amber Segura LeBlanc (Kevin), Tyler Billiot, Liam Billiot, Rhett Clement, Amalie Summerall, Wryn Vallejo, Jaxton Clement, and Drey Cole Edwards: great great grandchildren, Jayden LeBlanc, Elijah LeBlanc, Maverick LeBlanc, James Darby, and Cryslin Darby, ;siblings, Edwin Clement (Rose) and Rena Mae Istre.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Clement was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Rose Hollier Clement; a daughter, Brenda Clement; son-in-law, Neil Hebert; an infant son; and siblings, Ernest Clement, Chester Clement, Wilburt Clement, Clarence Clement and Mary LaPointe.

Pallbearers include Russell Clement, Terry Clement, Michael Clement, Brent Bonin, Ryan Clement, and Scott Hebert.

Honorary pallbearer will be Peyton Clement.
