New Iberia - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Walter “Pokey” Dugan, Jr. Who left us on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, surrounded by his ride or dies (family/friends). Born on May 21, 1970, Pokey was known for his spirited personality and his unwavering honesty. Pokey was a sassy mentor to those around him, full of wit and always wearing his heart on his shoulder. Pokey’s brutal honesty became his trademark, always keeping it real for those who sought his guidance. His legacy will be remembered through his acts of kindness and commitment to helping others.
