Warren was born on November 2, 1958, in Arnaudville. He was a man who found joy in life's simple but most meaningful pleasures. He cherished quiet mornings spent fishing and crisp days in the woods hunting and he never missed the chance to cheer on his favorite teams.
Above all, he treasured time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
A true Cajun at heart, he carried a deep love for Cajun music, and nothing brought him more happiness than cooking and sharing meals with people he loved.
His warmth, generosity and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his sons, Brandon Hayes (Maria) and Justin Hayes; daughter, Lindsay Conner Hayes (Brice); brothers, Sherman Hayes (Brenda), Herman Hayes, Todd Hayes (Vonda), and Jeremy Hayes (Cynthia); sister, Jaimee Taylor (Lance); grandchildren, Reagan, Janci, Jayda, Klaire, Parker, Kadence, Aamiley, and Camryn Hayes; and his Godchildren, MIles Hayes, Aaron Hayes, David Champagne, Tucker Martin, Heidi Daigle, Gabrielle Broussard, and Mamie Cooke.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Shirley Bergeron Hayes; daughter, Laura Marie Hayes; maternal grandparents, Dorsey and Alexita Bergeron; and paternal grandparents, Thompson and Ophelia Hayes.
Pallbearers will be Brandon, Justin, Sherman, Herman, Todd and Jeremy Hayes.
Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Hayes, Miles Hayes, Brice Menard, and David Champagne.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to his nurse Emily with Hospice of Acadiana and Heather Hayes for the great care they have given him.
