St. Martinville - A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville, for Warren Daniel Smith, 23, who passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville, on Thursday from 9:00 am until time of service.

Travis Savoie will officiate the memorial service.

Warren was born on November 15, 2000, in Lafayette, and grew up in St Martinville. He had a vibrant personality that was a beacon of light to everyone around him. Described as always smiling and happy, he was ever-willing to help others in need. Whether it was lending a listening ear or offering a helping hand, Warren's presence brought comfort and joy to those around him.

In his free time, Warren indulged in a variety of hobbies that brought him fulfillment. He had a passion for working out and boxing, channeling his energy into these physical pursuits. Additionally, he found solace in the pages of books, immersing himself in different worlds through reading. Warren also had a creative side, spending hours drawing and unleashing his imagination onto paper.

He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Bourque (Brady); step father, Ray Smith; sister, RaeLynn Marie Smith; half-brother, Dustin Courville; aunts and uncles, Jimmy Bourque, Jr., Kenneth Bourque(Dannette), Melissa Walker (Lynn), Shawn Bourque (Patricia), Merlin Bourque, Jr., Joey Bourque, Joshua Bourque (Candy), Jennifer Bourque, Tina Bonin (Alvin) and Delmus "Ben" Smith, III; paternal grandmother, Diane Smith; and his step grandmother, Darlene Bourque.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Brenda Bourque, Sr.; paternal grandfather, Delmus "Ben" Smith, Jr.; aunts, Connie Bourque and Dorrie Bourque; and his uncle, Danny Seneca.
