Wayne Saucier

Breaux Bridge - Wayne Saucier, a beloved family man and a pillar of his community, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on July 10, 1947, and during his lifetime, he touched the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Wayne had a passion for history that was truly infectious. As a history buff, he loved delving into the past and sharing fascinating stories with anyone willing to listen. His creativity shone through in his hobby of making stained glass at Atchafalaya Angels. The beautiful pieces he created will forever stand as a testament to his artistic talent.

In addition to his artistic pursuits, Wayne also had a knack for crafting homemade natural soaps. His soaps were not only a labor of love but also a reflection of his commitment to natural ingredients for the well-being of his loved ones.

However, above all else, Wayne found true joy in cooking and entertaining his family and friends. The sound of laughter and the aroma of delicious food wafting from his kitchen will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege of being welcomed into his home.

Wayne leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew him. He is survived by his loving family and friends who will carry on his memory with fondness and gratitude.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Laura Saucier; son, John Davis; daughter, Angela Riehl (Bill); brothers, Danny Saucier (Susan) and Butch Saucier (Margaret); and his grandchildren, Samuel Riehl (Brandi), Sullivan Davis, Rose Davis and Francis Davis.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Margareta Mixon Saucier; son; Jason Saucier; brothers, Leslie Saucier, John Dale Saucier and Jimmy Saucier; and his in-laws, Bill and Mary Landry. 

 A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
