Wayne White was born in Calvin, Oklahoma on December 21, 1932, to the late Herman Judson White, Sr. and Viola Willie Cobb White. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Korean War from 1952 to 1956, where he demonstrated remarkable dedication and became a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal and the National Service Defense Medal. His commitment to service extended beyond active duty as he continued to honor his country through the Naval Reserves for another four years.

In his professional life, Wayne embraced his skills as an electrician and later as a diesel mechanic. After establishing a commendable career, he retired as a Maintenance Superintendent from Teledyne Movable Offshore. His extensive knowledge and experience led him to become a valued rig-moving consultant in his retirement, where his insights and expertise were greatly appreciated.

Wayne had a zest for life. An avid fisherman, he relished every moment spent on the water. Whether sailing or exploring the depths as a certified SCUBA diver, Wayne's love for the aquatic world was palpable. He was also an enthusiastic hunter and a world traveler, finding joy in RVing across different landscapes, creating memories that would last a lifetime. He also possessed a remarkable talent for woodworking, which allowed him to express his creativity and craftsmanship. Each piece he created will be treasured for years to come.

Mr. White is survived by three children, Michael White (Joni), Susan Price, and Cheryl Gwaltney (Chuck); stepchildren, Julie Kilgore, Melanie Richard (Wayne), Tammey Freeman (Kelly), Sandy Hartwell (Connie), Jeff Hartwell (Scottie), Lynn Coutu, Leann Horton, and Juanda Jo Sanders (who passed away just two days after Wayne) and her husband Jim. Wayne is also survived by his first wife and mother of his children, Isabel Marie Toutant White Christy; 24 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wives, Evelyn Moity White and Juanda Hartwell White; and siblings, Elsie Mae Nelson, Juanita Belle Brod, Eufa Nell Edwards, and Herman Judson White, Jr.; and step-son-in-law, Charles Kilgore.

Pallbearers will be Rocky Smith, Chuck Gwaltney, Richard White, Mike White, Scott Musick, and David Nelson.

Wayne’s spirit will remain with us forever, and his memory will continue to light our paths. May he rest in peace.
