A woman of many talents, Wilda delighted in crocheting and sewing, immersing herself in the art of crafting with passion. Her hands created warmth and beauty, leaving behind treasured pieces that encapsulated her love. She was also an avid puzzler, relishing the challenge of crossword puzzles and word searches.

Wilda’s spirited personality was as colorful as her favorite hue—purple. Known for her frankness, she had a gift for telling it like it was, often sharing her thoughts with heartfelt honesty. She took pride in “telling people about themselves,” a playful yet profound approach that endeared her to many.

Wilda’s culinary skills were legendary. Meals she prepared became family gatherings, filled with laughter and love. Her kitchen was a sanctuary where the aroma of her delicious creations mingled with the warmth of her presence.

Wilda cherished the simple joys of life, often indulging in the art of window shopping, finding inspiration and beauty in the world around her. Those who knew her could easily recognize her bright spirit, and the vibrant love she shared with her family and friends will be forever missed.

Mrs. Placide is survived by a son, Anthony Guillory (Mary); daughter, Emma Verdun; stepsister, Judy Anthony; stepbrother, Dwayne Williams; sister-in-law, Ida Hills (Edmond); 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
