Wilda Broussard Soirez

New Iberia - Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia for Wilda Broussard Soirez, 94, who passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020, at Maison Teche Nursing Home in Jeanerette. Rev. Alexander Albert will officiate. A lifelong resident of Iberia Parish, Wilda Broussard Soirez was born on January 30, 1926 to the late Demas and Helen Dronet Broussard. She worked for the Council on Aging in Coteau, loved to dance, and enjoyed playing cards, bingo, drawing, cross stitching and crafts. Mrs. Soirez was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed. She is survived by a daughter, Marlene Mouton of New Iberia; son, Carl Soirez and wife Tammy of New Iberia; grandchildren, Chad Mouton and wife Laurie, Eric Soirez, and Corey Soirez and wife Amanda; and great-grandchildren, Amelia and Margaux Mouton, and Teak Soirez. In addition to her parents, Wilda was preceded in death by her husband, Junius Soirez; siblings, Hilda Stoutes, Edia Bell, Melvin Broussard, Milton Broussard, Emroy Broussard, Otto Broussard, Lovelace Broussard, and Ida Picard; son-in-law, Clark Mouton; and a nephew that was like a brother to her, Tommy Picard.
