Willamae was born on May 3, 1945, in Breaux Bridge. In 1964, she married the love of her life, Milton Paul Noel, and together they raised four children.
Willamae found her greatest joy in the simple things in life, especially cooking delicious meals for her family and spending time with those she loved. She enjoyed playing Pokeno and Bingo, taking trips to the casino with her friends, and crocheting in her spare time. Known for her quick wit and a little sass, Willamae had a personality that could always bring a smile to those around her.
In 2022, Willamae became bedridden and was no longer able to enjoy many of the things she once loved. Of all the things she missed, cooking was at the top of her list. She would often say that when she finally got out of that bed, she was going to cook a huge meal for everyone. She missed being in her kitchen, preparing the meals that had brought her family together for so many years. It was those little things that meant the most to her.
Above all, Willamae treasured her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her wonderful cooking, her loving heart, and that unforgettable witty sassiness that made her one of a kind. Her memory will live on through the many cherished moments shared with those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Milton Paul Noel; her three sons, Eddie Paul Noel (Brenda Benard), Eric Joseph Noel (Patricia), and David James Noel (Karleen); her daughter, Yvonne Marie Noel; five grandchildren, Monique Oubre, Talena Willis, Kaleb Perrodin, Bryan Perrodin, and Hunter Perrodin; five great-grandchildren, Bailey Noel, Bryce Oubre, Alissa Oubre, Emerson Willis, and Oakley Perrodin; and her sister, Winola Hebert (Jessie).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Noelie Thibodeaux Blanchard; and her sister, Emma Lou LeBlanc.
Pallbearers will be Eddie, Eric and David Noel, Bryan Perrodin, Hunter Perrodin and Bryce Oubre.
Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Oubre and Landry Willis.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her daughters-in-law, Patricia Noel and Dean Noel, and her daughter, Yvonne Noel, for their unwavering love, devotion, and care throughout the last five years. A special thank you is also extended to her compassionate nurse, Derek, whose kindness and gentle presence brought comfort to Willamae and her family, especially as he held her hand during her peaceful passing.
