Zenora Willie Louis Bacon Durand

St. Martinville- A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August, 13 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for Zenora Willie Louis Bacon Durand, 77, who passed away on August 7, 2023 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. 

Elders Casey Thomas and Eric Jackson will officiate at the funeral service. 

 Zenora was born on January 23, 1946 in Houston Texas. Zenora was deeply committed to her religious beliefs and actively participated in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in St. Martinville. Her profound spirituality guided her actions and she found solace in regularly attending worship services and engaging in prayer. She was a pioneer member of the congregation, always ready to extend a helping hand to those in need.  Beyond her spiritual pursuits, Zenora showcased tremendous talent as a seamstress and decorator.

 She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Hildred Durand, Sr.; daughters, Francine Durand and Merrill Durand; grandchildren, Damian Dasani Thesee', Mickayla Durand, Tanayra N. Durand, Hildred L. Durand III and Zayna Yarber; siblings, Frances Kingberry, James Bacon, Carroll Ann Jones, Reginald Bacon, Tina Bacon, Denise Bacon and Jackie Spivey.

 She is preceded in death by her son, Hildred Durand, Jr.; grandchild, Devan Chrstopher Durand-Watts; father, Oneal Bacon, Jr.; mother, Sarah Flennell; siblings, Walter Lee Bacon, O'Neil Bacon and Allison Bacon.
