Zilda Angelle Duplechein

Cecilia - A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Friday, September 4, 2020, at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia, for Zilda Angelle Duplechein, 102, who passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Graveside Service. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Mrs. Duplechein enjoyed cooking for her family on Sundays and for holidays. She cherished moments spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Sue Buchanan of Grand Anse, Jane (Floyd Sr.) Scrantz of Grand Anse, and Gloria Bezet of Bessemer, AL; sons, Errol (Elaine) Duplechein of Carencro and Earl (Gwen) Duplechein of Cecilia; brother, Lawrence (Edith) Angelle of Cecilia; 20 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren, and 18 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Laurette Duplechein; daughters, Nell Latiolais and Judy Hebert; parents, Doreston and Armace Courville Angelle; grandchildren, Brent Melancon and Todd Scrantz, an infant great grandchild; brother, Don Angelle; two infant siblings; and sons-in-law, Antoine Latiolais, Randal Bezet, and Rodger Buchanan. Family would like to thank Nursing Specialist Home Health and Hospice for the care and also a special thanks to all who helped with Momyet.
