Carroll was born on July 23, 1951, in Mamou. We gather to celebrate the life of Brent Fontenot, a proud Cajun, a dedicated Navy serviceman, a hard worker, a loving family man, and a friend who brought laughter and joy to our lives. Brent's journey was filled with ups and downs, but through it all, he remained a good-hearted person who touched the lives of many.

Brent was a man of many talents and passions. From an early age, he embraced the adventurous spirit that resided within him.

Serving in the Navy was a testament to his bravery and commitment to something larger than himself. He faced challenges head-on and demonstrated unwavering loyalty to his country. Brent's time in the Navy shaped him into the resilient and determined individual we all came to know and love.

Throughout his life, Brent wore many hats. He held various jobs, always finding a way to provide for his beloved family. Whether he was working at his own business as a young man or pursuing other ventures, Brent's work ethic was unquestionable. He understood the importance of taking care of his loved ones and worked tirelessly to ensure their well-being. He was a provider in the truest sense of the word.

Brent had his struggles, as we all do. Yet, we must remember that these struggles did not define him. They were a part of his story, but they did not overshadow the goodness that dwelled within his heart. Brent's love for his family was undeniable, and his intentions were always rooted in their happiness and security.

In his moments of respite, Brent found solace in the water. The lure of the open sea, the thrill of boating, and the tranquility of fishing allowed him to connect with nature and find inner peace. When he wasn't out on the water, he could often be found strumming his guitar, sharing his musical talents with those around him. His melodic tunes could instantly lighten the mood, and his laughter echoed through the room, reminding us all to find joy in even the simplest of moments.

Brent's legacy lives on through his loving family. His wife, children, sister, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren were the center of his universe. He cherished each and every one of them, pouring his love and support into their lives. The lessons he taught them, the memories he created, and the bonds he forged will forever be treasured.

As we bid farewell to Brent, let us remember him for the person he was most of the time - a compassionate, resilient, and warm-hearted soul. Let us honor his legacy by carrying forward the lessons he taught us, the joy he brought us, and the love he shared. Though we mourn his loss today, we can find comfort in knowing that Brent's spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts and in the stories we share.

Rest in peace, dear Brent Fontenot. May your soul find eternal peace and may your memory forever be a blessing to us all.
